This page is dedicated to providing our cadets and their parents / guardians access to resources, manuals, information and links that will aid in their understanding of the cadet program and help give them the tools they need to succeed as a cadet at RCSCC Quinte.

Uniforms
Uniforms are provided to the cadets on loan at no cost to the cadet or parent / guardian.
Uniforms and uniform parts are issued from the Supply Department. We understand that youth grow and the sometimes uniform parts wear out or get damaged even with our best efforts to keep them well looked after, that's okay! We always want our cadets looking their best and therefore encourage cadets to reach out to the Supply Department or the Supply Officer to exchange parts as needed.

Provided below are links to the unit's Uniform Guidebook the National Cadet Dress Regulations and a Guide to Polishing the Parade Boots.

Drill
Drill is an important aspect of the training program. It allows us as a unit to participate in various activities throughout the year as well as give the cadets the opportunity to build confidence, develop teamworking skills and feel a sense of pride when they master a new drill movement.

Provided below are links to the Unit's Drill Guidebook, the Canadian Forces Drill Manual and the RCSC Manual of Drill and Ceremony.

Cadet Co-operative Education Program
The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) Co-operative Education Program in which cadets in RCSU Central can obtain high school credits during the training year, has be expanded to include all areas of RCSU Central.
Although the program is lead by UCDSB, cadets do not need to be students of that school board to participate. Any Ontario high school student in any school board (English, French, Catholic, or Public) may participate as long as they have already obtained at least one high school credit, or will have one credit by the end of June 2023, and reside in Ontario.
How it works is that cadets, once registered, can obtain up to 4 credits per training year based on the work, participation, and attendance of any cadet activity including mandatory, complementary, and optional training. Virtual training is included. For every 90 hours logged with cadet related activities, one credit can be granted. Credits are tailored to match a cadet’s interests and involvement. For example, Phys Ed credits, History credits, and Music credits are all possible, based on what activities the cadet routinely participates. Cadets will also complete the pre-placement assignments and a monthly journal entry.

If you have any questions about this program please see the FAQ sheet or talk with the Commanding Officer.
The registration form for cadets, as well as a FAQ sheet can be found below.
